چکیده

The charter of SRC is to advance both the state of knowledge and the state of the art in computer systems. From our establishment in 1984, we have performed basic and applied research to support Digital's business objectives. Our current work includes exploring distributed personal computing on multiple platforms, networking, programming technology, system modelling and management techniques, and selected applications. Our strategy is to test the technical and practical value of our ideas by building hardware and software prototypes and using them as daily tools. Interesting systems are too complex to be evaluated solely in the abstract; extended use allows us to investigate their properties in depth. This experience is useful in the short term in reening our designs, and invaluable in the long term in advancing our knowledge. Most of the major advances in information systems have come through this strategy, including personal computing, distributed systems, and the Internet. We also perform complementary work of a more mathematical avor. Some of it is in established elds of theoretical computer science, such as the analysis of algorithms, computational geometry, and logics of programming. Other work explores new ground motivated by problems that arise in our systems research. We have a strong commitment to communicating our results; exposing and testing our ideas in the research and development communities leads to improved understanding. Our research report series supplements publication in professional journals and conferences. We seek users for our prototype systems among those with whom we have common interests, and we encourage collaboration with university researchers. A method is described for proving \always possibly" properties of specii-cations in formalisms with linear-time trace semantics. It is shown to be relatively complete for TLA (Temporal Logic of Actions) speciications.

Cosmological argument in proving the existence of God from Imam Khomeini's (RA) point of view

This article reviews Cosmological argument in proving the existence of God from the viewpoint of Imam Khomeini (RA). At first, various views to the existence of God are reviewed and then its etymology will be reviewed. Cosmological argument proves God through universal premises about truth and world and and the Movement Argument, Casual Argument and Necessity and Possibility Argument are dif...

The Argument of Possibility and necessity encountering the critiques of Russell, Hume, and Kant

The argument of possibility and necessity- which is considered as some of the most important arguments in proving the existence of God - have taken a key place in humanschr('39') thoughts. In history, among thinkers related to the creation of the universe, no major philosopher or thinker can be found other than those who have faced this argument; thus this argument has met many criticisms an...

Algorithms for Generation in Lambek Theorem Proving

We discuss algorithms for generation within the Lambek Theorem Proving Framework. Efficient algorithms for generation in this framework take a semantics-driven strategy. This strategy can be modeled by means of rules in the calculus that are geared to generation, or by means of an algorithm for the Theorem Prover. The latter possibility enables processing of a bidirectional calculus. Therefore ...

Parametrization of Pedestrian Injuries and its Utilisation in Proving Traffic Accidents Course Using Injury Signatures and Contact Signatures

Background: The paper points out the present limited possibility of using the verbal description of injuries for the needs of experts from the field of road transportation as relevant criminalistics traces, as well as the options of the FORTIS system that creates a new area for a deeper interdisciplinary approach in the field of expert evidence. Further a description of how to create injury si...

Proof Support for Common Logic

We present an extension of the Heterogeneous Tool Set HETS that enables proof support for Common Logic. This is achieved via logic translations that relate Common Logic and some of its sublogics to already supported logics and automated theorem proving systems. We thus provide the first full theorem proving support for Common Logic, including the possibility of verifying meta-theoretical relati...
